Leading sliding head lathe manufacturer, Star GB, are delighted to announce the opening of their new UK headquarters. To mark this exciting occasion, Star GB are extending an invite to the engineering community across the UK to join them for a special Open House event.
Running for three days from the 5th-7th of October, the event will give visitors the opportunity to take in Stars stunning new home, and also view their range of market-leading sliding head lathes. This purpose-built site, located in Derby alongside the prestigious Rolls-Royce factory on Raynesway, is easily accessible from the A52 and the M1, with dedicated parking and an abundance of space - perfect for showcasing a dazzling range of Stars latest innovations.
Visitors will get the exclusive chance to view the all-new successor to Stars flagship SR-32J machine, which has become a firm favourite with turned parts manufacturers across the UK. The SR-32JII will be unveiled for an early preview ahead of its 2017 release an opportunity not to be missed!
Also on display will be an array of Stars most popular lathes, including the small diameter SB-12RG and SW-12RII; the larger SR-38B and ST-38 machines; and the popular SR-32J and SR-20RIV Type B. The Star team will be on hand as always with expert advice and insight, as well as selected partners to provide advice on ancillary equipment and supplies.
The event opens at 9:30 each day and closes at 18:00 on the Wednesday and Thursday, and 17:00 on the Friday. Refreshments and lunches will be provided for all attendees so be sure to book your place!
